The Siege of Fort William

Our second Muskets and Tomahawks game in a week - the French try to take the Fort

With most of the terrain set up from the previous game I reconfigured the table and following the events of the previous game the French pushed up to siege Fort William.

- things did not go well for the French and their allies - enough said

three lessons were learned

1. Defending troops are very hard to hit
2. Indians assaulting the parapets need darkness on their side - do not try this in broad daylight
3. The French should have brought cannon..

More soon

  1. Great to see some M&T back in the shed, especially as it's what brought me here in the first place.

  2. Fine looking set up once more.

  3. We don't like the French (from a wargaming perspective) anyway 😀

  4. Eric - what an inspirational set of figures and terrain you have there. I've just spent a couple of hours trawling through all your FIW posts and seeing how it all came together. My friends and I are just starting our FIW gaming now so its been very useful, thanks indeed.

  5. That is a great looking table - the fort is top notch!

  6. Super looking layout. Well done.
