A big thank you...
A few of observations -
1. Great to see so many youngsters - Shedson was otherwise engaged
2. The excel gets busier every year - not only do we have to contend with the Marathon runners but this year there was a pharmaceutical congress going on and a Sherlocked convention !
3. The number of tattoos on display grow every year - why?
But I did take the best part of 120 photos - I think of every game there. If I missed yours apology. Its just taken me two hours to upload these to the blog !!
So grab yourselves a coffee/beer whatever and have a look at all this wonderful eye candy..
Most impressive, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteExcellent stuff! good to catch up again!
ReplyDeleteWow - looks like a great show
ReplyDeleteI really do need to get across the pond to attend once
Thank you for posting the pictures - I was not able to attend this year and your images have proven that I should be there next year!
ReplyDeleteTony
Great photos!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to finally meet you at the bloggers meet-up :)
As for tattoos on display - I'll hold my hands up (or rather my forearms as the ink there was on display - I've got more, but they were covered up). I think that it may be a generational thing and also that Salute attracts a lot of gamers who aren't from the more traditional backgrounds. I did see one young lady with a very colourful sleeve on her left arm.
Brilliant photo's Eric, and I was sorry not to get a chance to meet you today. I have uploaded a picture of the Blogger's Meet on my website - if you could ID yourself on it for me I'd be grateful.
ReplyDeleteGreat pix's Eric, shame I missed you at the meet-up!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, thanks for sharing your day with those of us too distant to go ourselves. Certainly looks like something well worth attending as usual. :-)
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of tattoos though, shame on you! Admittedly 'fashion' is the thing nowadays, but for some of us it's somewhat cultural too... our fathers and our father's fathers had them, usually while serving our country (even some WRACs had them, albeit somewhat more discretely) and in such far-flung corners of Empire as India, Burma, Hong Kong, Malaya, Cyprus and Birmingham.
Incidentally, when was the last time you saw a tattoo painted on the arms of a WWII '8th Army' or 'Chindit' infantryman, given that they were very common amongst regulars?
Fair's fair though, I used to moan about the amount of camouflage and olive drab worn at shows... and of course those ******* backpacks! :-)
Love that WRAC's photo!
DeleteGlad I'm not the one person who had a problem with all the backpacks!
DeleteAwe-inspiring pics. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures I had meant to try and meet you today but in the hectic excitement didn't have the opportunity, although having looked carefully through your great photos, you've actually taken one of me or at least my stomach playing the Stockholm 1392 lion rampant game, a great day out.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! Thanks for taking them, I never got to see most of the games.
ReplyDeleteHad a super time at Salute today, not even started to open the bags of swag yet...
ReplyDeleteAwesome images great effort to get them up so fast
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI did n't go this year and can't honestly say I missed it. I suspect your pictures give a much better view than I would have got in the gloom of Excel!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. (Feeling a bit self concious about that tattoos now.)
ReplyDeleteClearly a few games I missed as I wandered around, but I somehow never see them all. Thanks for showing them.
ReplyDeleteYou may have noticed more tattoos but I noticed more females than ever before!
Exellent pictures, very usefull for me that didn't have the time to have a look att all the games, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you got one picture of our Stockholm 1392 game to :)

Thanks for sharing. Could almost have been there.
ReplyDeletegreat set of pics , I wonder what u bought on the day :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm redirecting visitors to my blog over here for the photos. Many thanks for sharing those with us.
ReplyDeleteI also managed to spend only half of the coin I took with me. I think i was suffering from an over-abundance of stuff to choose from! That or the fact that I couldn't stay put for more than a few minutes.
My tattoo's are nicer than your photo's .
ReplyDeleteJudgemental much ?
I just have to ask because it is so different: What is the board with the fish?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, great pics.
