Yesterday morning I headed down to Sunbury to visit the inaugural Hall Of Heroes show.
At first things did not go so well as the Cars Sat Nav decided to take us to a location about 3 miles from the actual venue - never did check to see if the right address was on the advertising.
This was a small show - about 16 stands and a couple of games going on. I really do hope that the guys working the stands were busy but traffic looked light and I suspect that a show this close to salute might have some issues.
Saying that I did put my hand in my posket and end up with a few toys...
First up were the rules for Saga and the Northern Fury expansion, for sometime now I have been keen to try these out and with over 300+ Vikings painted but never used it seems like a good opportunity. Just need to read the rules now.
Secondly I found these boats - I think they are actually for a much smaller scale but they will make fabulous 28mm canoes and at a £1 a pop great value. The company is called the baggagetrain

Finally I took the plunger and cleared some traders stand of all of his Conflix buildings. Not only was this a great deal - 12 buildings for just over £150. Given that I did have the car with me a purchase swiftly ensued.
Remembering the flagstone vinyl floor tiles I bought I relayed my town.
These buildings will be perfect for my forthcoming pulp games, they will work for 17th century Pirates and a number of other genres.
Best wishes
Eric

Hi Eric - I have been watching this project with interest, especially seeing as I have acquired a huge Pirate horde recently. I don't know if you have seen it but I made some conflix style buildings. They would not look out of place with the ones you have. Thanks for the great posts.
